I was working recently with UCAN LWL in Kilmarnock, a social enterprise providing tailored training and work experience opportunities for individuals with additional support needs. The team at UCAN work tirelessly to provide a fun, and engaging service which makes a massive difference to the users, and I was really proud to help showcase some of the amazing work they are doing.

Autism Awareness Week - Darvel Primary School
I teamed up with Darvel Primary School a few weeks ago to help with a project to promote awareness of autism in the classrooms for Autism Acceptance Week. Presenter extraordinaire Henry James was an absolute superstar and delivered informative presentations throughout the school to help people understand what it means to be neurodivergent and what having autism means for him.
The work that Head Teacher David and his staff are doing at Darvel Primary School to encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment for everyone is so important and I was delighted to help them raise awareness for this good cause.

Maddison Green Music Programme
Maddison Green run a music course for 16-25 year olds at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine, and they asked me to come along and spend some time with them. Ross and Lawrence are doing amazing work and are making a real difference to young people in Ayrshire through their bespoke educational programmes.

Fenwick Gala Cricket Match
Coming from a small village I have always believed in the value of community spirit. Every year at the end of the Gala week, the people of Fenwick play a cricket match where High Fenwick take on Laigh Fenwick for the coveted ashes. It is a great tradition that has gone on for nearly 40 years and I was proud to be able to capture the sense of camaraderie on film.
